A post full of so much love and burned potatoes that a title eludes me.

You would think since I was sporting a super cute new apron while making dinner last night, the dinner would’ve turned out better than it did.

I’ve made potatoes on the grill a hundred different times.  Last night, they were just not meant to be.

I had on my newest and definitely my cutest apron. I love aprons. I haven’t always worn one, and I’ve stained plenty of clothes. I am a mess of a cook.

But not even my new apron could save dinner last night.  It offered me no super Martha Stewart cooking powers.  It was merely there to look cute.

Luckily, the corn saved the meal. It was delicious. Sweet corn fresh from the field is the best thing about Illinois in August.

The strawberries are pretty great too.

And my apron. My really, really cute new apron.

Hello my beautiful apron. I think I love you.

At least I looked good while throwing all those burned potatoes into the garbage.

But you know what really made the whole burned dinner debacle not seem so bad?

What I consider even better than my fabulous apron?

Hello my Rt.44 Cherry Coke. I know I love you.

I love your apron too. Give us the scoop–did you make it? Pattern? Did you buy it? Where? We need to know these things!

And glad you had a good first day of school. There’s nothing like smiling faces at the end of the day!

I am passionately in love with cokes from Sonic. mmmmmm, the cherries, the crunchy little ice cubes, I love them. Hope you threw some tater tots in there to make up for the potatoes.

Of course you must talk to us about where you got that apron! Just. Darling.

I have a MAJOR apron obsession. It is very serious and makes me think my cooking will improve if I look fabulous. Hasn’t happened yet, but I can hope.

And Sonic? You’ll find that very same cup in my trash can right now. Which means I’d better go replace it today…

I am so in love with that apron! It’s a shame it doesn’t come with magic powers. At least Sonic could save the day…and the food!
The corn and the strawberries look DIVINE!

Looks like a wonderful dinner ~ burnt potatoes and all! And what a great apron! I’ve heard so many people here in bloggyland rave about them that I’ve almost decided to get a few myself. Where did you get yours?

I think I have never worn an apron in my life, unless you count all those times in the kitchen play area of Montessori school. Yours, however is quite cute!

Nothing screams love more, to me, than a cherry limeade!

I love the apron! I wear some my grandmother made back in the 1930’s. They are falling apart. Does a Sonic coke save the day or what!

Seriously woman, HOW far do you go for that drink? I would have been happy to come over for dinner last night…yum yum. At least you didn’t start your grill on fire like some other bloggers I know.

Is it a sin to covet an apron?

    I confess. I am guilty.

    Ok. Where’d you get it?
