Blog Business…or the post with 15 links.
I just have to take a few minutes to take care of some bloggy business.
I don’t know if you read 5 Minutes for Mom, but I was mentioned in their weekly column, 5 Minutes around the Blogosphere, this week. Kailani was kind enough to include my giveaway from Announcements Galore in her weekly round up. If you don’t regularly read her column, you should! It is a great way to keep up with all the freebies being handed out in the blogosphere. Thank you Janice and Susan, for all the great information and giveaways that your site provides!
So, speaking of my latest giveaway. Random.org has picked the winner of the $30 gift certificate being offered by Announcements Galore that is good for 20 free custom photo cards.

Congratulations Kelly! Have fun customizing your photo cards!
Lastly, all of your comments this week have been so great! I was excited to read all of the responses when I asked if you were a changer. Not one person told me I was too nosy. It is good to know that I am not the only one who is more comfortable in pants of the less restricting variety. And I was very touched by all of the sweet words about my girls in yesterday’s post. I am so flattered and so in awe of you all who take the time to not only read my blog, but go the extra step and leave me a comment. It really makes my day! And makes me feel a lot less crazy.
Just so you know, I try to respond to comments whenever I can, but some days it is not possible. Either we have no clean clothes to wear or my kids have hijacked the computer to tend to those darn Webinz. Which by the way, are taking over our house, but that is an entirely different post.
Okay, I’m not sure this post could have any more links. Seriously. But some days are just like that in the blog world, I guess. Sorry.
Lastly, if you are still reading down here to the bottom of the Most Boring Post So Far in 2008, I have a question for you. Have you ever been on vacation to Destin, Florida? And if you have, then please tell me, what is there to do down there? I found a couple of things online; the Gulfarium and a Pirate Cruise, and of course an outlet mall. But is there enough to do to keep my four kids busy for a week? Does anybody know?
Thanks, Interpeeps.
And, I actually did have a real post for today, it is just not done yet. Because loading pictures is still kind of a pain for me. But I am working on it. When it’s done you’ll get to go on a little stroll down memory lane with me. And you will feel so much better about the stirrup pants you wore in 1987, because you will know that someone out there looked more ridiculous than you did.
It was me.

Hey Lisa, Queen of the Giveaways,
I can’t help you out with the Florida question, are you planning a trip? We’re off on that nightmarish trip to France, but I’ll be checking in a bit later today, to stroll with you first…
Have a good one - Heidi
PS: And big congrats to Kelly!! ![]()

Lisa - we spent a week there with a 2 year old and a 6 month old and loved it - though i know that is a different audience. We split our time between the condo pool and the beach. There is your typical go-cart place, putt putt place, etc. There are also several AWESOME restaurants that cater to kids. I loved our time there. you can email me more questions if you want.

I know nothing about Florida, but a whole LOT about Webkinz taking over the house. Our dogs play with them as well, and in a not-so-gentle way. A lot of our Webkinz have gone to Webkinz heaven.

We went to St. Augustine for a week and took a day trip to Destin with our oldest, then 2. We drove a lot, but didn’t really find anything that excited us with a 2 year old. (This was 3 years ago now, so I don’t really remember too much… sorry I’m no help.) But, hey, you’re at the beach! Go to the beach… save a lot of money just sittin and playing in the sand!
What’s a Webkinz? I’ll have to go see… or maybe I won’t so that I don’t have to know…
Also, I got my giveaway package in the mail yesterday!
Thank you! Thank you! What fun it was to open! I’ll have a post up about it in the next few days or so. I’ve already made some lists in my little notebook with my colored sharpies! ![]()

Wow! It’s like the random number generator knew I had a new baby that needs birth announcements.
Thank you, Lisa. What a perfect prize for me. I’m heading over to Announcements Galore right now to start shopping.

We vacation near Destin every year (Seaside, FL) and find the beach and pool most entertaining. Gotta have a pool with kids as the sand can get annoying to everyone involved. This site lists some good info http://www.destinfl.com/recreation.htm
If you get a chance, drive east about 30 miles to Seaside for lunch and great shopping and fun for the kids. They have free family movie night in the town square during the summer. The movie The Truman Show was filmed there. You’ll have a great time.
