Please forgive me for the lack of posting, I’m busy dying a slow and torturous death.

One would think that rheumatic fever was an illness most common in the days of Little House on the Prarie.  Or Little Women.
Not knowing any better, one would think that nobody gets rheumatic fever in this day and age of the 21st century.
    One would be wrong.

    Mondays stink. Giveaways don’t.

Did I really post all those old pictures of myself?  My apologies, Interpeeps.  I have no idea what I was thinking.
I wanted to let you all in on a little secret today.
In honor of her birthday, Chickadee is hosting a week of giveaways, starting today!
    Go enter!
I heart giveaways.  I really do.

Blog Business…or the post with 15 links.

I just have to take a few minutes to take care of some bloggy business.
I don’t know if you read 5 Minutes for Mom, but I was mentioned in their weekly column, 5 Minutes around the Blogosphere, this week.  Kailani was kind enough to include my giveaway from Announcements Galore in her weekly round up.  […]

    Sometimes there are no words

    It’s snowing like crazy here.
K and I watched a movie.  I’ve checked on my kids, and I’m prepared for a snow day tomorrow.
I sat down to visit my regular blog reads this evening, write a post, and then I was headed up to bed.  It was going to be quick and easy.  Check in with […]

    Tiny Talk Tuesday

Mary is hosting Tiny Talk Tuesday today and I’m glad to be participating.  I had a conversation this week that I’m sure I will want to remember forever.
My son, age 5, was in the bathroom, and he was doing what little boys do in there when they are sitting down and singing.
I was sitting on the couch trying […]

    Trusty Random.org has spoken!

I’m going to send you a quick email right now and then the Marley book and the lavender goodies will be on their way to you!

Maybe my little samurai has matured a bit more than I gave her credit for

I can’t thank you all enough for the wonderful responses I received from Friday’s post. Your words of encouragement and understanding have been so uplifting for me to read.
I often tend to overreact in situations like this one, that mama bear instinct is a strong one, but this time I think the calm voice of […]

Warning: Urban Slang Used By Suburban House Frau On Death Bed

Greetings from my deathbed. Or death couch, as it may be.
I’m sicker than sick. I may have even caught the Black Plague from too much reading on Big Mama.
Whatever it is I have, I am sure that it is the exact same thing that killed half the Pilgrims in 1620.
    Those poor, poor people.
    And […]

    Breaking News…This Just In

I was gone most of the day today and away from my favorite appendage, the laptop.
And what did I almost miss? Jenny at Chased by Children (Lord, I love that name, because aren’t we all?) is having a GIVEAWAY today for a $100 Target gift card, in honor of her 100th post. Congratulations Jenny! I […]

    Copeland

Little Copeland passed away this evening.
Yet, Boothe and Conor continue to inspire me with their grace and dignity. They are just the parents that Copeland needed. God knew what He was doing when he brought Copeland into the lives of these amazing parents.
    See you tomorrow.
