I wish I were still sick so I’d have my old hair back
Lessons learned from my sickbed:
The weather will be nice and warm when I am too sick to enjoy it.
Laundry does not do itself.
My son will wear the same socks four days in a row if I do not tell him to change them.
So will my husband.
Doctors make me nuts.
Hydrocodone makes me a little nuts. In a really good way.
When the mom is sick, there is nobody to make the chicken noodle soup.
A fever apparently leaves me with a craving for a salami sandwich. And french toast. Neither of which I usually eat.
Moaning does not make pain go away. Even really loud moaning.
Don’t decide to go and get your hair colored on the first day you feel better. It will turn orange. And you will cry. And you won’t know what to do to fix it. Because the last thing in the world you want to do is go back and sit in the salon for 2 hours. And yet your hair is orange. And it looks terrible. And you cannot stop looking in the mirror and thinking you wish you were Marty McFly so you could call Doc Brown and travel back in time and never step into that hair salon. So what choice do you have but to go back? Because your hair? It is orange.
Not even two Hydrocodones can make that pain go away.

If I was there, I would make you chicken noodle soup. But I don’t think that would help the orange hair. Unless you stick your head in it. And that’s not an improvement, really.

Oh no!! NOT what you want to celebrate feeling better! I hope they can fix it! I’m so glad you’re feeling better ~ but I hear ya, now there’s a LOT of work that needs catching up on!! Take it easy, don’t over-do it, and it will eventually all be done.

I’m glad you are feeling better. You had me laughing at the Salami sandwich. Orange is a springy color, so you can look at as a positive. ![]()

Feeling for you.
Maybe a box of color would fix it in only 20 minutes? They have color experts you can call.
For EXPERT help. Expertly.

Oh no! Just what you need as you’re starting to feel better. I hope you can find a quick way to ‘de-orange’ your hair soon!

I missed you…sorry about your hair, did the color get botched because of the meds?? The stylist should have known…anywho, glad you’re at least feeling better health wise:)

It sounds like it has been a rough couple of days. I’m so sorry you’ve been so sick; if I lived nearby, I would make you some soup AND do your laundry! And, if you really wanted a salami sandwich, I would find a deli and get you one:)
As for the orange hair…..I hope you can get it de-oranged quickly. Do you have to wait awhile to recolor it, or can you do it now? There is a shampoo you can get that helps strip the color out, but the name of it escapes me right now. I will let you know when I think of it…..I used it after a terrible coloring job, and it helped tone it down.
I’ve missed your blog, and am so glad you are on the mend.

Don’t go back to the salon. Go to the drug store and get a box of Natural Instincts hair color. It’s gentle and it smells good and nobody in the drug store is going to care what color your hair is! I had orange highlights in October but it was kind of fitting considering the time of the year. I fixed it with a box of the stuff I recommended to you. Good Luck! I wish I could bring you some chicken soup!

Oh, honey. That is just six ways of twisted wrongness happening to you. Take a few hydrocodone, go back to bed for a while, then wake up and deal with it. Ugh! Feel better soon!

Things don’t sound so good and I’m sorry about that. I have no suggestions about your hair, other than hats. Hang in there.

Did you go back and make them fix your hair? Is it better?
Happy to read you are feeling slightly better! Don’t you wish there was a cleaning fairy?

I feel so bad for you… life-must-get-better… SOON! I have no suggestions on the orange hair. I liked Christie’s suggestion… drug yourself back up and deal with it all in a few days… best of luck! and Bless Your Heart! ![]()

Awww! I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough time. Hope you’re feeling better soon. And, maybe orange hair could be a good thing — all the fashion magazines say bright colors are in this spring;o)

Hey - maybe if you take FOUR hydrocodone? Then you won’t even know WHAT the deal is
I would’ve brought over some soup for you. And a magazine. And I would’ve done 3 loads of the kids’ clothes for you. Because you need the help and wouldn’t want me to do yours and K’s laundry
