If I had not labored for 18 hours with this one, I’d wonder if she were mine

This is what it looks like when I am busy working on all my ’stuff’ during the day.

And this is what it looks like when Gracie is busy working on her own ’stuff’ during the day.

I’m sure you can tell that she gets her organizational skills from me.

Thank y’all for the very sweet comments yesterday. Rest assured, I am not 20.
    Or even 30.
And yes I am still on my y’all kick, since it is Fall Y’all!
So be sure to come back on Monday because I will be doing a giveaway.
    And giveaways are fun!

I want to give a BIG thank you to the New Diva on the Blog who awarded me this:

The best part about winning an award is knowing that someone out there is actually enjoying what you are writing. And you get to pass it on to others! And that is what I call bloggy FUN!
So, I’d love to give this to Stie, for this post. Because truer words were never spoken. Or in this case, truer pictures were never taken. And it made me laugh. Go see for yourself!

The other person I want to pass this on to is Cindy, because this post will really make you stop and think. There is so much in the news right now with the fires in California, and this post really got me thinking about what is really important. What would I grab if I had to GET OUT IN 5 MINUTES?
And like Cindy, it would not be my window treatments. Even though they are plantation shutters. And I am a bit obssessive about my plantation shutters. Because I love them. A LOT.
This week my real-life friend, Jul, launched her own blog, Mom’s Side of the Story. Won’t you please do me a favor and go on over and say hello?
    Thanks.

He, he, Lisa. She is adorable. What a smile!! And her organization skills are impeccable. The apple occasionally falls further from the tree, I suppose. :)

    Happy new award, too.

Congratulations!! I love the pic of your kitchen — I’m so glad to see mine isn’t the only one that routinely looks like that!! Thanks for the links to some of your favourite posts — I really enjoyed the ‘His/Hers’ one.

This is such a great post! LOVE IT! :) She is a cutie.

Thanks, friend, for the award! (I do have to confess though…I’m envious of your plantation shutters.)

    Oh…isn’t she just the cutest?

I’d like to point out: Behind the “mess”?…..totally clean countertops. Yep.

You’re an amateur slob, Lisa, that’s what you are….call me when you make it into the big leagues.

Oh - and the plantation shutters? I would TOTALLY find a way to get those babies a “quick release” mechanism…..you know, just in case you have TIME after you get the kids, hubby and any animals out of the burning house.

I’m just keepin’ it real, sister :)

    xoxo,

If this freaks you out - just tell me - but I would LOVE to see pictures of the inside of your house. Anyone with such a cute laundry room - must have an amazing home! :)e

    Hi Mom of 2 Princesses,

That does freak me out a bit! haha
Actually, I love to see others’ houses too, so I get it! Believe me when I say the laundry room is not any indication of how tidy the rest of my house.

You are in luck, In December I am participating in BooMama’s (www.boomama.net) Tour of Homes, so you will be able to come on in and have yourself a tour!

    I have already started cleaning.

I looked right past the papers and saw the clean countertops and cute red chairs! Why, THAT’s no mess! That looks like creative genious! Just like your daughter’s perfect little lineup….wow, impressive!

I agree with the others….I noticed the spic and span countertops in the background right away!

I’m looking forward to the Tour of Homes in December!
