Just a word of advice from me to you.

You have probably been hitting the drive thru window at your local McDonald’s a little too frequently if you run in to the lady that usually works the window while you are out doing some shopping.

    And she recognizes you.

    And says, “Hi!”

    And, “See you tomorrow!”

It might be time to lay off the fountain Cokes.

Or, how about when they see you pull in they automatically get it ready for you? Yeah, that was me.

Around here, it’s hard to tell if it’s because we’re there so often (well, our tiny town isn’t big enough for a McDonald’s, but we do have KFC and A&W) or because it’s a small town and everyone knows everyone. I’m going to say that’s what it is.

I’m not a frequenter of McD’s, BUT they know me at Target. Yeah….scary huh?

Ah, but McD’s has the best Coke, don’t they? The only place I’ve found comparable is Sonic, but I prefer McD’s. Yummmm…

And you are probably a blogger when this happens to you and your first thought is, “That is SO bloggable.”

Great story. So funny yet we’ve all had it happen in one form or another.

For me, it’s the owner of the local Gymboree store. I think she’s going to start sending my kids birthday presents.

So true Christie. McDonald’s and Sonic can’t be beat with their fountain drinks.

TOO FUNNY! And thanks for the advice!
They don’t know me at McDonald’s but they know me at the Panda Den Chinese restuarant. And they recongize my voice when I call!

I’ve got people at our local Thai place begging me to come back to Canada. I swear they are teetering on bankruptcy because I’ve been away. Not sure that’s much better… :)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just like there is nothing wrong with a certain mexican restaurant bringing your food without ever having placed an order. That is completely normal behavior.

You know it is time to quit smoking when you walk in to the convienience store and the clerk pulls a pack of smokes for you. It was lovely seeing you Saturday, be sure to see part of your hubbys leg on my blog!

The same thing happened to me when we lived outside of St. Louis. Only worse, because my husband was in the car! (BUSTED) and the girl told me she liked my new haircut!

Nothing seen wrong here…just like there is nothing wrong w/ walking into the local mexican restaurant and your drink, appetizer and food order appear on the table immediately. Oh and your son calls the waitress his girlfriend! LOL!

I feel that when I enter the Gap, the salespeople’s eyes light up with dollar signs.

Which does not thrill my husband.

(”They’re thinking of all the money I SAVE,” I tell him.)

I would just like to add another comment to say that it’s really embarrassing when I receive the beverage from the drive-thru window and I have to REMOVE an identical beverage still sitting in the cup holder from the previous day.

    I have no shame.

Yeah, maybe, or maybe not….she may be one of those cloned amazing expert Mc Donald’s employees that has master training in remembering EVERY customer and WHAT they order or WILL order based on what they have ordered in the past.
