Spring has sprung.
It was in the fifties here yesterday. The sun was shining brightly and the sky was blue. The kids played outside after school, I played outside after school.
And I am so good at four square it is not even funny.
I play to win.
And my kids hate it.
Anyway.
All the Spring in the air had a smile on my face yesterday and it got me thinking about all the things I was happy about. And all the things I love about Spring. And warmer temperatures. And being outside. And life in general.
What can I say? When I’m up, I’m up.
So for right now, on this day; these are a few of the things that have me smiling.
- Driving with the window down. And the music turned up.
- New clothes.
- Laughing with a friend.
- Cool green grass under my bare feet.
- Raspberries.
- An open window.
- Dogs.
- The smell of horses.
- A little boy that asks, “Is it Summer yet?” Every morning.
- Chewing ice.
- A perfectly grilled, juicy cheeseburger.
- A sky full of stars.
- A quiet house.
- Monk and Neagle playing in my kitchen.
- Forsythia bushes full of thousands of buds, just waiting to bloom.
- Tulip leaves sprouting from the ground.
- My favorite brown baseball cap.
- My girls singing. Loudly.
- Being here, being me.
I think Spring agrees with me.

Spring agrees with me, too. Or rather, it WOULD if it would stop snowing, already!
Glad you had a good day. Someone needs to…

AMEN!! We actually got into the SEVENTIES yesterday ~ all our snow (except in the bush or where it was drifted in) disappeared in about 4 hours in the afternoon. We even slept with our windows open!! woo-hoo!! (of course, I’m not discounting the possibility of another snowstorm though ~ it’s only April!)

I am so excited to see green and feel the sun again. I thought I did kind of a good job not hating winter this year, but I feel so much better now. Even nicer today!

Oh, preach the word, sister. It’s supposed to be sunny and close to 70 today. I could just soak in this sunshine.

I want to be you too! It doesn’t sound like you have allergies! Besides, if I were you, I’d be young again…sigh….
I’m glad that you are enjoying Spring. I’m going to be a hermit until everything stops blooming!

I have a little one who wakes up on the wrong side of the bed every morning. And every day I ask her the same thing, “are you going to be grouchy or cheerful today?” I usually get some sort of grunt of a response.
I read this post not long after dropping her at school this morning, but am only now taking a moment to comment. All I could think of as I read it was: now there is ray of sunshine. If only I could get my little grouchy dwarf to sound something like this…
Happy Spring!
