The Watcher
Someday, it will be their turn to watch her.
But for now, she sits on a bench.
She is too young to participate and she is use to her role on the sidelines.
A cheerleader, but never a participant.
Today she is tired, worn out from her own busy day of preschool and playing outside.
So she just sits.
And she watches.

Lovely shot - precious moment to catch. My eldest now moans weekly about having to wait while middle child has her swimming. I remind her that it was once her turn to have the lessons while the others waited. Sh replies…”but she was SO YOUNG she didn’t know any better!” Don’t you just love sisterly love

Too bad our boys aren’t on the same team (or in the same state, for that matter). My sitter and watcher could play with your sitter and watcher. Maybe someday.

Great picture.
She can use it against her siblings when she’s older…”I had to sit and watch all your games and now you won’t even loan me your car?” Or against you…”I had to sit and watch all their games and now you won’t let me backpack across Europe?”
Just kidding. She’s way too cute for that kind of behavior.

Love the photo - it captures the feeling so well. I’ve got a little watcher of my own - although I don’t know if ‘watching’ exactly describes what she does.
